Love and Beyond

By Jessica Parker The story goes, God created Adam at the Garden Of Eden. Adam was alone. God made him fall asleep and took out one of his ribs and created a woman named Eve. She was his companion. And they created of the entire human race. This was how it had begun. But at present the old protocol does not always hold true. It is not always necessary for the man to be elder than his partner. Sometimes a woman can be even twenty to twenty-five years older than her man. And we all know that if two people are happy in each other’s company, it hardly matters whether the man is younger than the woman or it is the other way round. But sometimes we cannot help but wonder about it. The question bugs, Are we moving against the tide? Well, normally, the relationship between a couple should be of friendship and love. And both love and friendship are spontaneous. But, love is a combination of different colors like infatuation, romance, mutual understanding and respect. And in most cases where the woman happens to be elder than her partner, she can not always respect her partner as she could do had he been elder to her. This may sound irrelevant. But it is quite true that after a certain point of time, a woman wants something more from her partner apart from candlelight dinners and appreciation of her beauty. After a certain point of time, she gets tired of romance and the spark of romanticism seems to fade away. At this very crucial time, the woman needs someone who would not only appreciate her beauty but make her actually feel beautiful. He should be able to make her feel important and cared. She needs someone who would love her like a man and caress her with fatherly tenderness. A woman wants someone she can lean upon in times of crisis. She needs somebody to caress her when she is emotionally upset. She wants someone who would care for her. She does not mind even if he is a little possessive. What is more important to her is his unconditional love, and understanding. She wants someone who would be able to understand her better than what she understands herself. And when her partner truly posses these qualities, she cannot help but respect him. But when a woman settles for someone younger than her, that person may lack the maturity to understand her properly. And this is the time where the war of words begin. And after a certain time, both the partners begin to feel that they lack mutual compatibility. Ultimately, it results into termination of relationship. I don’t mean to say that settling for a younger man ruins a woman’s life and that a woman should always marry an older man. But once we decide to change something that the society had framed for us, it is important that we ourselves make some changes in our expectations from a relationship. An older woman should not expect her younger boyfriend to be as understanding as is expected from a matured husband. A harmonious balance is required in every sphere of our life and also in a relationship. We often try to regulate some spheres of life according to our own expectations and wishes. A good number of successful people accomplish their goals of life and fulfill their expectations with zeal and confidence. But when it comes to expectations from a relationship, it is important that we exercise some regulations on ourselves and only expect what our partner can practically give us. In that way only a relationship blooms and paves way for marital happiness and bliss. Jessica Parker writes on friendships that are broken, relationships that are estranged, religions are extinct. She explores long lost aspects of life and wishes to express them. she finds, 123Greetings.com to be a nice way of expressing her long cherished thoughts. Scottish Doctor, John Beard had a Cure for Cancer 100 Years Ago!

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alister_Bredee] Alister Bredee Scottish embryologist, John Beard proposed as long ago as 1906 that pancreatic enzymes were the bodys main bulwark against cancer. Having published Enzyme Therapy of Cancer in 1911,his work attracted a degree of medical attention until his death in 1923. These ideas then died away only to be occasionally awakened from their slumbers by complementary therapists looking for alternative and less intrusive treatments than those offered by the Medical mainstream. In the 1960s Beards work resurfaced in Texas, when a dentist named William Kelley started treating cancer sufferers with proteolytic enzymes. Kelleys work was highly controversial as it flew directly in the face [http://www.anticancerplacentatherapy.com] of orthodox cancer medical care procedures that relied heavily on radiation treatment and chemotherapy. Thus he was castigated by the media and hassled by the authorities. New York physician and ex-Cornell Medical School graduate Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez met the Texas dentist in 1981. Instead of confronting a demon as portrayed by the press, he met a self-effacing man who like Royal Rife before him only wanted his work to be evaluated by the Academic World of Medicine. Gonzalez thought this to be a reasonable request and set out to do something about it. Although a mere medical student at the time he elicited the help of the then Sloan Kettering President, Robert Good. Good supported Gonzalez in his quest and he was allowed to conduct a thorough case review of Kelleys work as part of his own medical studies. Nicholas Gonzalez reviewed 10,000 patient records; He interviewed and evaluated 500 of Kelleys patients who had all been diagnosed with advanced cancers. He summarized his findings in a monograph completed in 1986. His overall conclusion was that Kelleys treatment procedure resulted in an above average survival rate, with many of the sufferers enjoying an apparent regression of their disease. In a separate chapter he took 22 pancreatic cancer patients; this form of cancer has a very low survival rate. Statistically speaking there is a 0% likelihood of surviving 5 years. Twelve of these patients visited only once and then were persuaded to quit treatment due to the negative reactions of friends, family and physicians who branded Kelley as a charlatan. These he took as his control group. They demonstrated an average survival rate of 67 days. Another 7 members of the control only partially followed the Kelley treatment. They displayed a survival ratio of approximately 7 months. However, and much more interestingly those who followed the treatment to the letter lived for an average of a stunning 9 years! This example serves as good demonstration of the folly of following the well-intentioned yet prejudiced advice of other people! Nicholas Gonzalez is continuing work using these protocols dating back at least 100 years and hopes to be able to raise the interest and or money to have a full-scale scientific review conducted of the effectiveness of the enzyme treatment of cancer. The price of enzyme therapy comes out at between $5,000 and $6,000 per year, which in itself is a fraction of the cost of conventional medical care. Interested in this subject? How Do I Go About Selecting The Right Lights To Enhance The Landscape Of My Garden

By Allison Thompson Over the years many home owners will finalizing many projects that they started around their gardens and one of this projects may involve them using lights to help not just provide ample lighting where required but also to provide an enhancement to their landscape as well. It may be that they just need some lights to brighten up a sidewalk or any other walkway or it might be that they require illumination for that beautiful gazebo that they had built. But by visiting a local DIY store near to your home you will soon be amazed at the choice of lighting available for your gardens landscape. One of the most popular choices of landscape lighting is the solar powered version. It is quick to install as you do not need to run any electrical wires to them or hook them up to anything in fact if you want you can move them around your garden into the locations where they will most be needed and once winter sets in they can be removed from the garden altogether and stored away until next spring. What an ideal way of keeping your lights as pristine and as new as the day that you brought them by not exposing them to bad weather too often. Solar powered lights are certainly a real innovative product for the garden as although they contain batteries to give the light at night the batteries themselves are powered by sunlight and because they are sat outside all day they soon become fully charged and ready for use. Often as soon as dusk begins to set in a sensor on them will trigger them to come on and the battery contained inside will certainly have enough power to last the entire night. All you need do is plan where you want them to be and stick them in the ground and enjoy them lighting up the landscape of your garden each night. Another benefit that many people have found with having solar powered lights in their gardens is that they dont have to remember to turn them as they do that themselves automatically. But as previously stated landscaping lights do not only serve to provide light to your garden, but they can also be a decorative feature as well. There is such a large assortment of lights now available for the garden to choose from and it all depends on what you have in your garden as to where the lights will be in order to draw peoples attention towards certain features (such as a pond or statute) that you may have in your garden. For example if say you had an majestic old tree in your garden what a wonderful way of showing all its glory off to those who see at night by directing a light towards it and illuminate it in all its glory. However, whenever placing lighting within your garden you should always take some time to decide where you want to place them as it really depends on what type of look you are trying to create in your own garden. It is better to go for more subtle lighting within your garden as you dont want to upset the neighbours by going overboard and too much lighting will make a garden look harsh, whilst just enough will provide you with the lighting you require, but still allowing corners and areas of the garden to remain a mystery to your visitors. It is also advisable if you can to visit either a local garden centre or garden show as the professionals there will be able to provide you with essential tips for making the best of the space you have. Chinese Cuisine

By Michael Russell In the West we tend to talk about Chinese cooking as a generalization, as though it were the same throughout China. In fact, China is a vast country, with a range of topography and climates that produce distinct regional differences. The availability of ingredients varies from region to region and as the Chinese use fresh ingredients in the majority of their cooking, dishes are influenced by availability. One of the most important features of Chinese cooking is texture. Vegetables should remain crisp and rice and noodles should be treated like pasta and retain their ‘bite’ after cooking. Ingredients such as bean and curd are used for texture, even though they have little flavor in themselves. Bamboo shoots, a common ingredient, are included purely for texture. Although the Chinese make use of regional, fresh foods, they also use dried stuffs in their recipes, in particular mushrooms, bean curd, noodles and spices. These were first used to preserve foods, but are now widely used. In Beijing, the cold northerly climate strongly affects the cuisine. There is quite a variety in this region that has inherited influences from the Mandarin courts and there was also some Manchurian and Mongolian input. Wheat is more popular than rice and many noodle, pancake and dumpling recipes originate from this area. They also glaze, barbecue and spit roast many of their meats. Sauces are robust and rich, using many spices, soy sauce and garlic. Lamb is the most popular meat in this area as a result of the Mongolian influence. Cantonese cooking in the south is entirely different. Here, stir-frying produces rich, inventive and colorful food. Traders and travelers have influenced the cuisine and the subtropical climate, perfect for fruit growing, has meant that many savory dishes include fruit, as well as fish and seafood. Very little meat is eaten in the South, although they are famed for their ‘red’ cooking, whereby foods are braised in soy sauce to give a red color. Soy is used extensively here in the thick sauces that are characteristic and rice is always included. In the East, more starch is eaten and considerably more fat is used. Rice is served as an accompaniment or for stuffings. Rice wine is produced and used in abundance, perfectly complimenting the range of fish and seafood caught along the coastline. The people of Shanghai have a sweet tooth and savory dishes are much sweeter from this region. Szechuan cooking from the West is hearty and spicy. They use many chilies and spices, producing hot-and-sour, piquant flavors. Pickles and other preserves feature in the regional cooking and the foods are traditionally drier, but combine many flavors. Sauces are kept to a minimum, even in stir-fries. When cooking the Chinese tend to combine a couple of cooking methods in one dish, such as steaming and then frying, or frying and roasting. Steaming is widely used in Chinese cooking. Traditionally bamboo steamers are used, so that a whole meal may be cooked in a stack of bamboo racks. Stir-frying is done in a wok that must be heated before use. Foods of a similar size (all small) are stirred constantly, so that as they come into contact with the wok, they cook quickly. Deep-frying is also done in the wok, which uses less oil than a deep fryer. The foods are often marinated first or coated in a light batter. Weight Gain in Menopause- How to Manage your Weight

By Antoinette Boulay Countless women approaching, or in the midst of menopause find themselves starting to gain weight. This weight gain is most prevalent around their hips and waist; it does not seem to go away no matter how much you diet. Things that used to work to keep you trim no longer have the same effect or work at all. Weight gain in menopause, and the lack of ability to lose it are the most common complaints of women moving through this phase of life. As years go by a womans body can become contaminated with toxins. Once under control before menopause, the toxins now interfere with the metabolism functions that keep weight within a reasonable range. They must be stored to keep them from affecting major organs of the body, and are stored as fat cells. When a woman attempts to rid herself of the fat via crash diets or other unhealthy means, these toxins are released into the blood stream and have unpleasant side effects. The body only wants to be in its natural state of balance; itll use any means it has to maintain these fatty toxins stored, rather than lose weight. Toxin release may cause inflammation and bloating that is typically linked with menopause. Its also common during this phase of life to develop food sensitivities that can circumvent weight loss efforts. Many women have been sensitive to certain foods for years, but the ameliorative effects of estrogen on the digestive tract mask the sensitivity. Once a woman decreases her estrogen levels during menopause, any food sensitivities show up and a woman may start relying on foods that are much less nutritious and put her body into a hoarding mode. This leads to weight gain even, though she may be eating less. Weight loss is not only about will power or the calories you do or do not consume. Losing weight involves putting the body and mind back into balance; it is a complex process, and becomes harder still during menopause for obvious reasons. The body is in a state of hormonal flux and imbalance, old toxins are coming into play, and there is a large amount of stress. The most important things for a woman going through the Change, are to manage the stresses in her life and to learn how to eat the foods that work for her. This will let her have the body she is used to, without having to go through the pain of starving herself to lose weight. The Healing Arts: 18 Things Healers Learn, #14; Everybody Is Somebodys Trickster

By Russ Reina The Trickster lives in all cultures. It is sometimes called the Contrary, the Joker, the Fool, Heyoka, or Coyote. Same concept: This person does things a whole lot different than anybody else. Yes, sometimes wreaking havoc but the end result is always a lesson. Because this lives in all cultures, it also lives in each of us. It, too, is part of being human. Who among us has not fulfilled that role for others at some time or another in their lives? In a world where we simply have been designed to have different perceptions of the same events, this is inevitable. What is bizarre behavior to others can easily be a routine part of another individuals experience. Think back to some of the most impactful lessons youve received. Have they all come from familiar places or spaces in your life, or have they come from far out in left field, grabbing you by the soft spot and spinning you into new territory? Sometimes the Trickster has only one lesson: Dont take yourself so damn seriously! Oddly enough, the most healing medicine of all, Laughter, is something that so often must be imposed on us. Is that the most ridiculous thing in the world? Its worth a laughgo on, give us a Yelp! Some people, by nature, appear to take on the role of the Trickster. They seem to flow with a different current than the rest of us. Some are even aware of their purpose, and those are usually the ones that, no matter how twisted, exhibit a sense of having fun in the process. They enjoy being a FunHouse mirror that reflects anything BUT what the viewer wants to see. Some of those who recognize their purpose also express it in the most annoying, rather than comical, ways. Theyre the ones we want to haul off and smack right in the nose. Good Teachers, if you can loosen yourself up enough to see the value and stay out of jail in the process! My Trickster can be your best friend. While I might want to strangle him, you will seek his embrace because the very same quality I detest is the one you adore. Go figure. In all cases, though, the Trickster calls upon us to look deeper than were usually willing to look on our own. The effect of the Trickster is much the same as walking across a room, slipping on something and there you are; looking up at the world from a completely different perspective. The Trickster affects a shift where things unseen become seen, where a new angle on the view allows a clearer understanding of the event; once again, if, and only if youll take the time to see it. If youre here, youre going to get tricked. Its one of the Life-Forces most potent tools. The power of the element of surprise resulting from suddenly being put off balance often forces you to adjust and come to stability through means of which you never had conceived. Once aware of how you can call on reserves you never knew you had, you become more capable of seeking out alternative solutions to whatever you face. To be the Trickster all the time, however, is to limit your tool kit. When its a driven thing, like a stand-up comic who must always be on!, it becomes all about the comic, not the audience. Developing the Trickster as a tool is all about developing sensitivity to the moments of your own experience. Turning the concept into a conscious act means identifying instances in your own life where you were turned upside down. Take a good look at your own comfort zone at the time, how it was challenged, and what your recovery looked or felt like. The details of what happened in each incident are not as important as the overall flow of the experience. Ask yourself if your experience of the teachers intent felt invasive, controlling, or benevolent. As important are the timing and rhythm of the interaction. To recognize when the lesson popped up, how long it stayed active, how it affected you emotionally, and then how it moved you into the next moment are touchstones that you can refer back to for guidance. To be a conscious Trickster is not about having a plan of action and a lesson to deliver. It is not about the particulars. It is all about recognizing the moment, being within it in relation to the others involved, and then allowing the lesson to come through you. And why not? Why not allow this to be a part of your tool kit as a healer? Youre going to end up doing it anyway, so you may as well enjoy it! The most potent Tricksters pull the rug out from under you but catch you in a bucket of down-filled pillows. It can be as simple as incorporating a sense of irony or play into the work you do and sharing that part of yourself, for the good of all. Russ Reina shares over 35 years of experience in the healing arts through his web site http://mauihealingartist.com It is a potent resource for those wishing to deepen their abilities in connection and develop their powers as healers.
